An overlooked truth: "Normal work" might be an illusion  

Every morning, employees clock in on time, sit at their desks, and turn on their computers. Everything seems perfectly normal. But behind this seemingly calm routine, health risks are quietly taking shape. 

Some employees have persistently high blood pressure and have been dizzy for a week; others experience irregular heartbeats, waking up in the middle of the night from anxiety; some have low blood oxygen levels, struggling to breathe after climbing just two flights of stairs—yet none of them said anything. 

The reason is simple: fear of being called overly emotional, fear of affecting performance, fear of losing opportunities. So one chooses to endure, to hold on, to tough it out—until one day the body simply can't take it anymore. 

Where are the "blind spots" in corporate health management?  

Currently, most companies only understand their employees' health status through annual medical check-ups. However, annual physical exams have obvious limitations: 

First, the frequency is too low. Annual check-ups only provide a "snapshot" of one day, while health risks are constantly changing. Any abnormalities during the several-month-long "gap period" between two exams will go undetected. 

Second, data remains dormant. Once health check-up reports are issued, they are often locked away in cabinets, with few people consistently reviewing or interpreting them, let alone making health management decisions based on the data. 

Third, it relies on employees' self-awareness. Companies assume that "employees will speak up if they're unwell," but in reality, the opposite is true—most employees choose to remain silent. This leaves companies almost entirely in the dark about their employees' health conditions.


Internet enterprises · Daily screening

An employee of an internet company felt chest discomfort after working overtime for two consecutive weeks but did not take leave. While passing by the health integrated machine deployed in the office area, he randomly conducted a test. The electrocardiogram showed abnormalities, and the system immediately issued an alert. Second, reduce the hidden losses of the enterprise. The direct compensation and hidden losses resulting from a single employee health incident can reach several million yuan. However, the upfront screening investment of the health integration machine is much lower than this, making it an effective means to avoid major risks with a small investment.

Third, accumulate the enterprise's health data assets. The continuously collected employee health data, after de-sensitization and analysis, can provide data support for shift scheduling optimization, work hour management, and welfare plan design, enabling health management to shift from "experience-driven" to "data-driven".
